Megalap 3.

Well, Megalap 3 was a disaster for me. I wasn’t happy with my own time and performance; felt like I was letting everybody down. The weather was a bit cloudy and it drizzled a bit too; which contributed to the cold temperature of the track. We changed the rear tires too as the previous ones was worn off during drifting usage on last Gymkhana event.

The thing was, we forgot the check the tire pressure before entering the track. Silly me! And so during practice session, I went under-steer in turn 7 and went to the gravel trap. Yeah, wasn’t a good start at all. Dammit! Fortunately, the car was still in a good condition for Leona to drive in. She drove in first during the the first session then me, for the next session. And honestly I felt a bit down. But that’s the thing with motorsport. YOU DON’T EVER GIVE UP. So, maybe during this race I wasn’t having a sunny day. But there’ll always another and that’s when you should revenge your enthusiasm towards it. Don’t give up and do better. As like what Akina Teo told me, take this as a good experience. No mistake, no perfection.

For those who came and supported us yesterday, I am full of gratitude. To my seniors and the sponsors, thank you very much too. I apologize if yesterday wasn’t my best. Hopefully next race I would be better. Motorsport for life!

making mistakes better results —> maybe get better consistant results and not bad results? —-> Podium and more Podiums —> And more good sponsors

Megalap Round One.

Well, today’s the end of Megalap round 1. It was raining earlier in Sepang and I’ve experienced driving in the track in wet road condition. But YAKINBALLS, I drove in the first session and unfortunately spun at turn 1 in the second lap. After that the S13 had some technical problem, in which we can’t continue in the 2nd session. Sorry LEONA!!! huk2. Anyway, I was kinda disappointed but I won’t let my disappointment ruin my will and spirit. Thanks for all of the support and advises I get from my seniors, racers and others. Thanks to Ultra Racing and all sponsors too. I am truly thankful for all your support.

Saturday Night Fever round 2.

As you all know, last Saturday was the SNF round 2. It was my first time actually competing with other drivers and it was a night race. A total new experience for me. Luckily for me, Leona had to share the S13 with me as her BMW isn’t ready for the race yet.

I was given the opportunity to familiarize the track during practice laps (15mins). So I did my best to familiarize the track and corners as we only use half track of SIC during SNF. Somehow I think I did better than before, as in blipping/heal and toe and down shifting. Thankfully I did not span or went out of track during the race. Though, I ought to learn more on how to use the proper racing lines and I should understand more about handling the car and etc.

Leona came in during Heat 1, then my turn was Heat 2. Everything was in a different view when racing as night. I was kinda disappointed with myself because I think I didn’t do so well during heat 2 and that I feel like I’ve let Leona and the rest down. Though, I take this as a good exposure and experience, and that I have to be better in time soon.

At the end of the night, we achieved 6th place overall in our category. Akina Teo finished 3rd in the same category (Race Car) and our team mate, Sebastian Lee, was the champion in his category (Super Street). And my good friend, Shafiq Ali too finished 1st place in his category (Campro). Congrats all!

I am very thankful to have Leona and the rest, as my senior because they’re all very supportive and helpful towards me. I hope in time I will learn very quickly and be a better driver like them very soon. And here I would like to express gratitude to all of my seniors, crews, brother, friends and of course, all of the sponsors. (Ultra Racing Motorsport Division, Ultra Racing, Kumho Tires, Cybertech Enterprise, Max3, Waxson Car Care, Qmax Racing, Chameleon Photochromic Smart Film, Rspec Brake Kit, Cruise Power Garage, Toms Stickers and Kurazmotorsports).  And also, thank you to Ron, from SOL helmets for the sponsorship of my new cute red helmet! ^_^

We couldn’t have done it without you! So, thank you all, very very much.
